Shore 90A / flexibleTPU 90A is a flexible, rubber-like thermoplastic polyurethane at Shore 90A hardness. It bends, compresses, and springs back, which opens up a whole class of parts that rigid nylon cannot serve: seals, grips, cushioning, and flexible ducting. Because SLS builds in a powder bed, TPU prints lattices and complex flexible geometry with no supports. Many local bureaus do not offer TPU at all, which makes it one of the clearest reasons to bring a job to AMMO.

TPU parts are broken out and media blasted to an even matte finish. Vapor smoothing options are confirmed per part, since finishing behaves differently on a flexible material. We do not dye.

- How flexible is TPU 90A?
- At Shore 90A it is firm-but-flexible: it bends, compresses, and springs back, in the range of a firm rubber. It is the right choice for parts that need to flex, seal, or cushion rather than stay rigid.
- Do many shops offer TPU in SLS?
- Not locally. Flexible TPU is a gap for most West Michigan bureaus, including the nearest one, so if you need flexible SLS parts it is worth asking us directly.
- Can you print lattices and complex flexible geometry?
- Yes. SLS supports the part in its own powder bed, so TPU lattices, bellows, and intricate flexible forms print with no support structures to remove.
- Is there a minimum order?
- No minimum. With no tooling required, we run a single flexible part or a production quantity on the same line.
